Is Westminster Abbey on the London Pass?

Important: Westminster Abbey requires a pre-booked timed entry slot even with a pass. Book your slot in the Go City app as soon as your pass is activated — popular time slots sell out days in advance in summer. The abbey is closed to visitors on Sundays.

- Choral Evensong: free entry to hear the choir in the full abbey building. Typically 5pm weekdays, 3pm Saturdays. No audio guide or full tour access, but the atmosphere is extraordinary.

- Poets' Corner: memorials and graves of Chaucer, Dickens, Hardy, Kipling, Darwin, Newton and many more.
- Henry VII's Lady Chapel: considered one of the finest examples of late Gothic architecture in Europe.
- The Coronation Chair: used at every coronation since 1308, including Charles III in 2023.
- Royal Tombs: Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots, Edward the Confessor and more.
- The Cloisters: peaceful 14th-century cloister garden — one of the least-crowded parts of the complex.
Photography is not permitted inside the abbey. A strict no-camera policy is enforced.
Best time to visit
Arrive at opening (9:30am weekdays, 9am Saturdays) to beat the tour groups that arrive from 10:30am onwards. Summer middays are the most crowded. Budget 1.5–2 hours. The abbey is a 5-minute walk from the Houses of Parliament and St James's Park — both free — making it easy to combine into a full free/paid day in Westminster.
