Is Kew Gardens on the London Pass?

Yes — Kew Royal Botanic Gardens is included on the London Pass and Go City All-Inclusive. At £25.40 per adult in peak season, it contributes meaningfully to the pass break-even. It's also a choosable attraction on the Go City Explorer Pass.

Note: Kew is a half-day or full-day commitment due to its distance from central London. Plan it as a standalone day or combine with Richmond Park (free, adjacent) rather than trying to stack it with central London sights on the same pass day.

How to get to Kew Gardens

• District line (recommended): to Kew Gardens station — 30–35 minutes from Earl's Court or central London. Victoria Gate entrance is a 5-minute walk from the station.
• Mainline train: Kew Bridge station (South Western Railway from Waterloo) — 10-minute walk to Elizabeth Gate.
• Thames Clipper (seasonal): Westminster Pier to Kew Pier, April–October. Roughly 90 minutes each way — slow but scenic along the Thames.
• By bike: Kew is on National Cycle Route 4. Well-signed from Richmond and central London.

What to see at Kew Gardens

• Palm House: iconic Victorian iron-and-glass greenhouse housing tropical rainforest plants. The centrepiece of Kew — not to miss.
• Temperate House: the world's largest surviving Victorian glasshouse, restored in 2018. Houses the world's largest indoor plant (Chilean Wine Palm).
• Treetop Walkway: an 18-metre high canopy walk through oak and chestnut trees — excellent with children.
• Princess of Wales Conservatory: ten climate zones under one roof, from desert to mangrove.
• Kew Palace: small royal palace (separate ticket, ~£10) — childhood home of George III.
• The Great Pagoda: 18th-century, 10-storey pagoda with views across the gardens (free with admission).

Best time to visit

March–May is peak season for a reason: cherry blossom, magnolias and the famous bluebell wood are all at their best. June–July offers the Rose Garden and long evenings. If you're visiting in November–February, the off-peak £18 ticket (vs £25.40) plus a near-empty garden makes for a very different but genuinely beautiful visit.
